Born on 18.12.1887 in Calais, lived and worked in Paris. Student of Humbert and Charles Fouqueray and the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. She exhibited in the Salon of French Artists since 1911. She was largely influenced of the style of Ch. Fouqueray, mainly his large historical subjects. Since 1921 she started travelling, mainly toward North Afrika, but just like Charles Fouqueray, she visited the Ottoman Empire as well. In her career, she was committed to work for the Governors Palace of Dakar, Tunisian Palace and the Museum of Colonies where she exhibited in 1931.
Thil visited Thessaloniki around 1930 whеre she made the several paintings. One oil painting “L’Acropole a Salonique”, is sold by the auction house Machoir-Bailly, Versailles, France on 17th June 1992 (lot number 108). Another with title Fontaine a Yéni-Koulé-Salonique is sold by auction house Artcurial France on 12.05.2015 (lot number 27). Several of her Thessaloniki works are also in the collection of Danesh Museum of Art, New York, USA.
