Studied ceramics at the Art Academy in Sofia in the class of prof. St. Dimitrov. Specialized at the State conservatorium in Paris under guidance of prof. Mano. Had exhibitions in the period between 1928 and 1935 in Prague, Brussels, Paris, Moscow, Berlin and other cities. Later, he was a professor at the Ceramics Academy in Sofia from 1952 to 1960. Stoyan Rainov visited Macedonia around 1918 where he produced several watercolors from Ohrid region. One watercolor “Landscape in Ohrid” was sold by the auction house Victoria, Sofia in December 2009.
