Andrė Beronneau was born in Bordeaux, France. Specialized in painting harbor scenes of Brittany and the Cote d’Azur. Studied at the Fine Arts Academy of Paris. Beronneau exhibited regularly at all the principal Paris exhibitions and gained many awards and distinctions, the Silver Medal of the Salon d’Hiver and the Fargeon Prize of the Salon des Artistes Francais. Regularly exhibited at Stacey Marks Gallery, Eastbourne.
Andrė Beronneau visited Macedonia during the World War One, probably together with the French troops fighting at the Thessaloniki front. One example of his Macedonian works is the watercolor named “Salonique, la mosque des dervishes tourneurs”, sold by the auction house Boscher Samuel, Cherbourg France, on February 12, 1996 (lot number 955).
