Born in Narbonne on 14.08.1878, died in Mas-Grenier in 1961. Amateur photographer and painter. Studied literature and philosophy at the Seminare in Narbonne. He wanted to be a professional painter, but under pressure of his family he studied medicine in Toulouse. He started to practice photography and watercolor painting first on his trip to Tunisia and then during the World War One where he participated in the fronts of Dardanelles and Salonika. He was working in the military hospital in Salonika for which he won a medal. After the WW1, he switched fully on watercolor techniques. He lived and worked in Mas-Grenier.
Pigassou was in Macedonia in the period of 1915-1917 first around North Macedonia front together with the Serbian Army where he produced series of photographs from Strumica and Vardar regions, and later in Thessaloniki where he produced series of photographs and watercolors.
